NHSX has been commissioned by the Cabinet Office to develop the NHS COVID Pass.

We have worked with partners including NHS Digital and others to deliver the service.

About the NHS COVID Pass

Individuals in England who have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is two doses of the Moderna, AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccine, or one dose of the Janssen single-dose vaccine, can now use the NHS COVID Pass to demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccination status for international travel. The options available to demonstrate vaccination status are through the NHS App, via the NHS.UK website, or a letter upon request from the NHS by calling 119.

The NHS COVID Pass is available if you:

  • have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine - see above
  • were vaccinated in England
  • are aged 16 or over

We will continue to iterate means of demonstrating COVID-19 vaccination status as international standards develop to ensure our solutions are interoperable.

Security and privacy are at the core of each approach, and all solutions have robust anti-fraud measures built in to ensure personal information is secure.
