iPad offer to care homes
We are currently contacting all care homes to let them know the outcome of their application for an iPad.
If your application was successful we’ll be sending you further details about delivery plus how-to information to help you to set up and use your iPad as quickly and as easily as possible. We’ve also produced some additional support information and will be adding further support materials, including details of iPad set up and troubleshooting webinars over the coming weeks.
iPads will be given to the care homes that meet the eligibility criteria and have the greatest need for support. Unfortunately some care homes will not get an iPad. If your application was unsuccessful, we’ll be contacting you to let you know.
We are continuing to help care homes access digital tools and services. If you would like to be informed about any future offers from NHSX, please register your details and share your comments.
Our ongoing work
Before the start of the pandemic, NHSX had already been working with NHS Digital to improve access to the internet in care homes and had negotiated a range of connectivity offers to help staff in care homes and their residents to stay connected.
Our colleagues in NHS Digital and the health and care sector have also been providing digital and technical advice and guidance to care providers to support care giving.
