Dr Tony Calland MBE - Chair of Confidentiality Advisory Group

During my professional career I was a GP and GP trainer in a Welsh rural practice for 34 years. Other professional activities have included a non executive Director of Gwent Health Authority, a British Medical Association (BMA)  GP negotiator, Vice Chair Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Wales, Chair of BMA Medical Ethics committee, a member of the National Information Governance Board (NIGB) and now HCIGP, member of the Ethics and Confidentiality committee and subsequent CAG and now Chair of CAG. I was a member of the Bevan Commission, an advisory committee to the Welsh Government. Awarded MBE in 2013 for services to NHS in Wales.
