Remote monitoring, supported by local expertise, will allow citizens to receive safe, convenient and compassionate COVID care, or care for a long term condition, outside of traditional clinical settings. The Spark Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) offers the NHS and social care organisations a fast, easy and secure way to access the technologies and services needed to provide more care to citizens, closer to, or within their own home.
The Spark DPS streamlines the procurement process. It enables buyers such as commissioners within NHS England and NHS Improvement, social care organisations, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Primary Care Networks, NHS Trusts and NHS Special Health Authorities to complete the procurement process easily and quickly.
Guidance for using the Spark Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)
Buyers can use the link to find out more about how to use the Spark Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) on the Crown Commercial Services website.
Spark DPS is intended as a helpful route to market for a collection of technologies that support remote monitoring. There are other remote monitoring technologies which NHS organisations are using regionally and can continue to use, that have been procured through other routes. Other frameworks such as HSSF and G-Cloud 11 might also have suitable products.
For information on how to use the Spark DPS please visit the Crown Commercial website where you can find Spark customer guidance on how to use the DPS.
For those participating in the NHSX Innovation Collaborative work, we have created specific guidance which includes mandatory steps you must take. The Digital Technology Assessment Criteria for Health and Social Care (DTAC) is also available.
You can get help to use the Spark DPS from the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) customer services team which is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
